Our volunteers are students from all over the world, speaking different languages, but united by one large-scale goal - to do good deeds.
History
The first volunteer center was organized in RUDN in 2008. It was called "Wind of changes" and brought together students who went to orphanages to socialize and motivate kids.
In 2017, the center was renamed to become "Volunteers of the world", today there more than 2,500 members who participate in various events like QS Worldwide forum, XXIII conference of the 5-100 project, All-Russia Olympiads in different subjects, etc.

Volunteer center today
The RUDN Volunteer Center has the right to assign verified volunteer hours to volunteers from 2024. Verified hours are verified hours of volunteer activity, which are recorded in your electronic book on the DOBRO.RF platform. They confirm that you really participated in volunteer projects and contributed to a good cause.
You can get additional 3 points when taking into account your individual achievements when applying to the RUDN University Master’s program if you have experience in volunteer (volunteering) activities that meets the following conditions:
Term Limits: Experience must be no earlier than 4 years and no later than 3 months prior to the close of applications.
Duration: Volunteer experience must be at least 1 year and include a minimum of 100 verified hours.
Confirmation: A personal volunteer booklet printed from the portal dobro.ru is required.
The Volunteer Center has approximately 3,000 volunteers and is active in several areas:
Every year, the Volunteer Center provides support in preparing and conducting several dozen events of various scales (from university to international). Among the most prominent ones are: QS WORLDWIDE forum and XXIII seminar-conference of the 5/100 project at RUDN University, final stages of the All-Russian Olympiads of schoolchildren in different subjects, All-Russian Geographical Dictation, “Together with Russia” Forum, RUDN 60th anniversary, 5th Professors' Forum “Science and Education in the Context of Global Challenges”, forum “Russia-Africa through the Prism of Education and Communications”, World Youth Festival 2024 and others. We can proudly note that the majority of students become volunteers on a permanent basis after taking part in event volunteering activities.
Social volunteers visit orphanages and rehabilitation centers, organizing different activities and rendering any assistance needed.
In order to draw attention to environmental problems, the RUDN Volunteer Center regularly holds clean-up days to remove garbage and leaves, as well as environmental actions.
Sport volunteers participate in major sport championships and similar events like World Football Championship 2018, XXIX Winter student university games in Krasnoyarsk 2019 as interpreters and members of organizing committees.
In order to foster a spirit of patriotism among young people, connections were established with charitable foundations and youth organizations for joint participation in socially significant projects such as: “Congratulate a Veteran,” “George’s Ribbon,” the “Flowers of Victory” campaign; RUDN volunteers lay flowers at the request of veterans who cannot do it themselves.
